Ghana Air Force passes out 293 recruits after six months of intensive training

The Ghana Air Force recently concluded the Passing Out Parade for Recruit Course 1/2026, which concluded after a six-month period of rigorous military training at the Air Force Recruit Training School, Base Takoradi. The ceremony, held on Friday, September 25, signified the successful completion of basic military training for 293 recruits.

Armed Forces Oath, taken by the recruits, bound them to uphold the values of discipline, loyalty, dedication, and selfless service to the nation. Reviewing Officer and Commander of the Air Force Training Command, Air Commodore Richard Danso, emphasized the significance of the training, describing the recruits as possessing essential qualities such as team spirit, mental robustness, and physical stamina.

Air Commodore Danso warned the recruits that the foundation of their military careers had only just begun, and urged them to approach their duties with zeal and commitment. The ceremony featured a display of military drills and presentations of awards for distinguished performance in various aspects of training, with Recruit Ampadu Christabel Asantewaa receiving the overall Chief of the Air Staff Award for Best Recruit.
