Activist Collins Otieno found dumped along Thika Road day after Mulinge Muteti’s ordeal

Human rights activist Collins Otieno has been discovered alive after reportedly going missing, according to Vocal Africa CEO Hussein Khalid. The activist was found along Thika Road early Saturday morning by a Good Samaritan boda boda rider, who promptly transported him to a hospital. Otieno's condition mirrors that of fellow activist Boniface Mulinge Muteti, who was also found alive just the day prior.

Muteti was discovered in Lukenya, Machakos County, after reportedly disappearing during protests in Nairobi. Khalid's announcement comes just 24 hours after Muteti's recovery, after which he had walked a considerable distance to seek help at a petrol station. Both activists' disappearances have sparked apprehension among human rights defenders, as Otieno had reportedly sought assistance in locating Muteti.

The specifics of Otieno's disappearance, his whereabouts prior to the discovery, and the circumstances surrounding his rescue remain unverified. Police have not yet provided any public explanation regarding Otieno's situation.
