I’ll knock Joshua out in seven rounds – Fury

Tyson Fury has made it clear he plans to end the fight with Anthony Joshua inside seven rounds when the two heavyweight boxers clash in Cardiff on December 11. Fury, speaking on the Furocity YouTube channel, predicted a one-sided victory that would serve as a warm-up for a potential trilogy bout against Oleksandr Usyk. The British fighters have a history of close encounters, with Usyk having defeated Joshua twice by points in 2024. Fury dismissed Joshua's chances, telling the PUNCH Sports Extra that the Ukrainian is the real target. "Joshua, for me, is an old bum. A weightlifter. Too many weights, not enough speed. Fury also expressed his desire for a fair decision in the event the bout goes ahead in the United States, stating he won the first two fights and would secure a decision in America. The fight's official announcement came after repeated negotiations had broken down, and Fury hinted at doubts after Joshua turned down a face-off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April.

Fury insisted he would respect the outcome of the match, saying, "All the talking aside, honestly, we are both going to get in there and both going to throw down. And I always say, look, may the best man win. If he knocks me out, I will shake his hand, and if I knock him out, I will shake his hand, either way."
