Vineet Kumar Srivastava Takes Over As Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), Western Railway

Vineet Kumar Srivastava, a veteran officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) from the 1993 batch, assumed his new role as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) for Western Railway on September 22, 2026, according to a press release by Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer for Western Railway. Srivastava boasts over three decades of experience across various sectors of railway operations, including railway engineering, construction, project execution, and administration.

Throughout his illustrious career, Srivastava has taken on numerous pivotal assignments within Indian Railways. He once served as the Divisional Railway Manager of Varanasi Division under North Eastern Railway. Later, he held key positions with North Central Railway, including Chief Engineer/General, Chief Project Director, and most recently, Senior Deputy General Manager.

Upon joining Indian Railways in January 1995, Srivastava pursued his B.E. and M.Tech degrees, cultivating extensive expertise in railway engineering. As the newly appointed Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) for Western Railway, Srivastava will oversee the Construction Department, ensuring the meticulous planning and execution of infrastructure and capacity augmentation projects across the zone.
