Umahi orders display of Tinubu’s pictures on First Niger Bridge

Minister of Works David Umahi has ordered the installation of President Bola Tinubu's photographs on the First Niger Bridge, a key link between Anambra and Delta states. During an inspection of the bridge's rehabilitation project in Onitsha, Umahi directed the South-East and South-South Senior Special Assistants to the President to beautify and color the bridge with Tinubu's images.

The minister emphasized that the President's swift and quality intervention in the project deserves appreciation. Umahi also ordered the removal of all illegal advertisements on the bridge, requiring any future advertisements to first receive approval from the Ministry of Works. Additional solar lights and completed closed-circuit television cameras are to be installed on the bridge, with a committee set up to assess the bridge's condition both above and below the water level before it is reopened.
