Police investigating Negeri Sembilan crisis from various angles - Minister

Police are conducting a multi-faceted investigation into the Negeri Sembilan royal dispute following multiple police reports, according to Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, as reported by Berita Harian. The police are prioritizing the prevention of any violent acts and maintaining public safety and order, though the specific measures they have taken remain undisclosed.

Saifuddin revealed that the investigation is being examined from all angles but declined to disclose the legal provisions being applied, such as the Sedition Act or the Penal Code. The decision on whether to refer the investigation papers to the Attorney General's Chambers will be made after the police have completed their investigation.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim criticized the attempt by Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar and Exco to remove Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as rude and uncivilized, emphasizing that any attempt to remove a ruler is a serious matter within Malaysia's Constitutional Monarchy system.
