Pakistan strikes 10 sites in Afghanistan after drone attacks

Pakistan conducted aerial and drone strikes on 10 sites in Afghanistan on Thursday, in response to an attempted drone attack from Afghan territory the previous day. The strikes were carried out to protect Pakistan's sovereignty and to retaliate against the attempted attack, according to Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. The operation targeted locations used for launching and storing drones, and was described as deliberate, precise, calibrated, and proportionate.

Pakistan accused the Afghan Taliban of escalating tensions by allowing militant groups to operate from their territory.
