Ismail dakwa bekas exco N Sembilan dihalang masuk pejabat

Negeri Sembilan's Chief Minister Ismail Lasim revealed that former state executive council members are prohibited from entering their respective offices since yesterday, following an order or directive. Upon hearing this, Ismail stated that he was informed about the ban, which prevents the deposed exco members from not only entering their offices at the Negeri Wisma in Seremban but also from performing their duties as exco members.

Addressing the media briefing in Seremban, Ismail requested the involved authorities to reassess the order, taking into account that the dispute related to the matter has not yet been settled. He added that the action also needs to consider the need to ensure the public's concerns and state administration are not disrupted. Ismail mentioned that the request was made through the proper channel and was not intended to obstruct the authorities' duty related to safety aspects.

Additionally, Ismail urged all parties to give space to the state government and the legislative process for the time being. On Sunday, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir canceled the appointment of the state exco entirely due to their violation of their oath of office. However, on Monday, Ismail asserted that Tuanku Muhriz's action was undemocratic and lacked legal authority because it was made without consulting the Chief Minister.

He clarified that he had never advised or guided anyone regarding the dismissal of any Negeri Sembilan state exco member based on Article 38(5) of the State Government Corporation Act.
