Ismail dakwa bekas exco N Sembilan dihalang masuk pejabat

(Picture: Bernama) PASARINTUNJANGAN: Ismail Lasim, the Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan, requested clarification on the order that halted former state government executives from entering their respective offices at the State House in Seremban.

Ismail explained that he was informed of the ban on former exco members entering their offices. "I was informed of the ban on exco members entering their respective offices. I understand that this pertains not only to the offices within the State House but also to the execution of duties as exco members," he stated during a media briefing in Seremban.

Ismail requested that the authorities reassess the order, considering that the dispute over the matter has not been settled. He added that the action should also take into account the need to ensure the public's concerns and state administration are not impeded. Ismail emphasized that the request was made through proper channels and did not aim to hinder the authorities from fulfilling their responsibilities related to safety.

On Sunday, the Yang DiPertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, revoked the appointment of the powerful state exco due to their violation of their oath of office. However, on Monday, Ismail claimed that Tuanku Muhriz's action was undemocratic and lacked legal authority since it was made without consulting the Chief Minister.

He reiterated that he had never been consulted or advised on removing any state exco members according to Article 38(5) of the State Government of Negeri Sembilan Act.
