German football insider issues January transfer claim regarding Florian Wirtz and Bayern Munich

German football insider Christian Falk has stated that Bayern Munich will not attempt to sign Florian Wirtz during the January transfer window. Wirtz, a 23-year-old playmaker, was recently linked with a potential move from Liverpool to the Bundesliga champions. Although the Reds secured his services for £100 million in June 2025, Falk has downplayed recent reports of immediate interest from Bayern Munich.

In a recent post for CF Bayern Insider, Falk emphasized that Wirtz is "too expensive" for the Allianz Arena to pursue in January. He also added that there have been no indications from Liverpool that they would be willing to sell Wirtz during the current winter transfer window. Falk further noted that Bayern Munich's focus remains on securing Michael Olise's future, potentially through a new contract.

Given the club's investment in Wirtz, it would be an unwise decision to sell him at this stage, despite his underwhelming performance at Liverpool thus far.
