FSU elite athlete commit continues to visit other schools

Za Kari Johnson, a four-star athlete and top commitment for the Florida State Seminoles, has been visiting other schools in recent months. Sources indicate that both Texas A&M and Miami have been pursuing the Miami Carol City standout, but it seems unlikely that the Tigers will make a significant push for him at this time. Similarly, Miami appears more open to the idea of pursuing Johnson, but they are also keeping their options open as they evaluate his senior film.

Johnson, who ranks No. 344 nationally and No. 30 in Florida, is the 21st-best athlete according to 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-1, 196-pounder is currently the 30th recruit in his state. While Johnson has expressed a desire to remain committed to the Seminoles, particularly if they maintain their coaching staff, the growing losses for the Noles could make him more likely to leave the program.
