Breaking: Judge orders reversal of Trump's White House media ban

A federal judge has ruled that former US President Donald Trump must restore White House press access for journalists from CNN, MSNBC and Politico. The judge, Tim Kelly, agreed with the news organizations' contention that Trump's ban on the three media outlets was likely unconstitutional. The ban was announced by Trump on September 18, who claimed the outlets were spreading "FICTION and LIES".

The Justice Department had defended the ban on national security grounds, but the judge found no factual basis to support this claim. Justice Kelly blocked the enforcement of the ban for 14 days while the case proceeded. The judge dismissed the government's argument that the ban was intended to protect national security. Trump had previously expressed frustration with journalists who reported negatively on his administration during his two terms in office.

Following the judge's order, the remaining White House television pool suspended coverage of Trump. The White House and representatives for the outlets did not comment on the ruling.
