We Benchmarked The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Chipset

Qualcomm recently unveiled its Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset alongside a second flagship Gen 6 platform. The chipset was showcased during a special benchmarking session, where the brand's new Adreno Neural Fusion (ANF) technology was demonstrated. ANF combines upscaling and Frame Generation, allowing users to choose between using them separately or together.

Qualcomm showcased the chipset using a prototype device with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB of storage, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme. The benchmarking program, named Evolve, was created specifically to test the ANF engine. The results revealed that the chipset performed well, with the average framerate jumping from 15 fps to around 45 fps when ANF was enabled.

Furthermore, enabling ANF reduced power consumption from 15W to 8W, and even further to 5W-6W when Frame Generation was also activated.
