Russian offensive near Lyman stalls as Ukrainian forces push back — analyst

Russian offensive efforts near Lyman have come to a complete standstill, according to Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder of DeepState and an analyst. Pohorilyi claims that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully pushed the enemy back, undoing their earlier gains. The reason for this success, he explains, is the result of immense effort after a challenging stabilization period.

Russian forces had previously attempted to capture Lyman and bypass the city, establishing new front lines. However, their advance was halted when the command of the Third Army Corps intervened to reinforce the area. The Ukrainian forces were able to build up their numbers and eventually launch a counteroffensive to push the enemy back.

Despite a shortage of personnel, Ukrainian commanders report that the situation is improving, thanks to a shift in the military's focus from solely relying on assault regiments and constant mobilization to a fairer distribution of forces among different brigades.
