Napoli midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has dismissed reports suggesting he aimed to leave the club during the summer transfer window. Rumours circulated that the Belgian player was unhappy at Napoli under former manager Antonio Conte last season, leading to speculation about a potential move away from the Serie A team. Speaking at a press conference with the Belgian national team on Tuesday, De Bruyne, a former Manchester City star, confirmed to reporters that he did not attempt to transfer from Napoli in the summer.
He stated, "No, I have not really spoken to anyone about it [trying to leave Napoli]." De Bruyne emphasized that he simply enjoyed his holidays and returned to Napoli immediately after his break. The midfielder signed a free transfer move to Napoli from Premier League side Manchester City last year.
