Russia drops bombs on Oleksandrivka in Donetsk Oblast: four dead, eight people may be trapped under rubble

On September 23, Russian forces launched aerial bomb strikes on the settlement of Oleksandrivka in Donetsk Oblast, resulting in at least four deaths and four injuries. Regionally, Vadym Filashkin reported that a child born in 2021 was among the injured. The official's Telegram post detailed the extent of the damage, noting that an apartment building was destroyed, and 11 other buildings, 42 homes, a kindergarten, a shop, an administrative building, and six cars were damaged.

According to Filashkin, there may be up to eight more individuals trapped under the rubble, including two children born in 2024 and 2025. The incident echoes a similar Russian airstrike on Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, on September 20. That strike ignited a fire covering 4,800 square meters at a two-story educational facility, injuring two people.

The State Emergency Service (SES) reported that Russian forces dropped two aerial bombs on residential areas, causing injuries to a man and a woman, damaging four apartment buildings, five cars, and other civilian infrastructure. Oleksandr Honcharenko, head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, told public broadcaster Suspilne that the strike occurred around 11:19 a.m. He also revealed that Russian forces targeted an evacuation point in Kramatorsk.
