Number of people injured in Russian strikes on Kyiv rises to 41 – authorities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 24 individuals were injured in a recent Russian attack on Kyiv, with Russian forces persistently targeting civilian and critical infrastructure. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Zelenskyy detailed the aftermath of the strikes, asserting that Russia launched a significant number of jet-powered drones against the city.

The Ukrainian leader also highlighted that Russia's attacks continue to focus on civilian facilities, including pharmaceutical plants, gas stations, railways, communication systems, and shopping centers. As of now, Zelenskyy confirmed that two individuals have been killed and another 24 wounded, offering his condolences to their families and loved ones.

The President further reported that strikes were recorded in eight regions across Ukraine. Throughout the UN General Assembly meetings, Zelenskyy emphasized the need for continued support for Ukraine and fair pressure exerted on Russia through sanctions. He stressed that, given the ongoing strikes, it is crucial for these sanctions to send a clear message to Russia and its oligarchs that the war must be ended, rather than simply endured.
