NDC to inaugurate Peter Obi, Kwankwaso Presidential Campaign Council

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its plans to introduce the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) following consultations with stakeholders nationwide. The party disclosed this in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, Esq. The announcement comes after presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, met with the party’s national leader and other leadership members to discuss the composition of the campaign council.

The statement highlighted that Obi and Kwankwaso have been empowered to nominate key members of the PCC, including positions such as Director-General, Deputy Director-General (North), Spokesman, Deputy Spokesperson, Head of New Media, Finance Director, and Deputy Finance Director. The party emphasized that inclusiveness, cohesion, and victory are their priorities, and they have given the presidential candidate and his running mate the authority to make these nominations based on consultations with the party.

Furthermore, the Finance Director and his Deputy, along with the National Treasurer, will oversee campaign funds, ensuring transparency and accountability in accordance with electoral laws. An organogram of the campaign structure was prepared since August and shared with both candidates for input. The NDC also received nominations from various stakeholders across the country.
