Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a sexual assault committed against a former assistant, Miriam Haley. The verdict came after a jury found him guilty of a criminal sexual act in 2024, overturning his 2020 conviction due to a perceived unfair trial. Weinstein, appearing in court in a wheelchair, denied the allegations but apologized to anyone he may have hurt by his actions. He has previously served six years in prison for similar charges and holds a separate conviction for sex crimes in Los Angeles.
