Face Kano politics, stop insulting Benue people — Alia’s aide tells Kwankwaso

Benue State's Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, has rebuked former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his comments about Governor Hyacinth Alia. Kula claims Kwankwaso's remarks constitute an "unfortunate and unwarranted insult" and urged him to focus on Kano politics and respect the mandate of Benue State's people.

Kula believes Kwankwaso's grievances stem from the controversy around former presidential candidate Peter Obi's visit to Benue, alleging that Kwankwaso falsely accused Alia of disrupting the event. Kula also asserts that Obi's visit was deliberately planned by individuals aiming to tarnish the governor's reputation. Despite the political differences, Kula emphasizes Alia's electoral mandate, asserting that the governor was elected by Benue's people and thus deserves respect.

He advises Kwankwaso to concentrate on addressing his party's poor performance in recent by-elections in his state and to refrain from interfering in Benue's internal affairs or discussing the relationship between Alia and Senator George Akume. Kula contends that Kwankwaso should concentrate on his party's political standing in Kano.
