Dolly Parton’s estate accuses nephew of threatening to destroy her legacy

Dolly Parton's estate has filed a court document accusing her nephew, Bryan Seaver, of threatening to destroy her legacy and business empire. The estate seeks a judge to keep Seaver away from Parton's employees and business dealings. Seaver, who announced Parton's death on social media, owns a company that provided Parton's security detail.

According to the court filing, Seaver's behavior became "emboldened" after Parton's death and led to his termination. The estate also obtained a temporary restraining order against Seaver, which prevents him from interacting with She’s Alive, LLC, its employees, lawyers, and business partners. Seaver allegedly made threats to destroy Parton's brand and called himself an "international arms dealer."

His messages included claims of selling $27 million in arms and ammunition. In response to the allegations, Parton's trusts and estates lawyer left, and employees of She’s Alive resigned. Seaver stated that he and his team are committed to fulfilling Parton's final directive to protect her family and will not be intimidated by those acting in bad faith.
