Trump returns to UN at a moment of anxiety about Iran, AI and the future of world body itself

The US economy has been impacted by his decision to initiate a war against Iran, causing global unease. Concerns about the societal consequences of artificial intelligence are escalating, and doubts persist regarding the future relevance of the UN itself, as Trump has reduced US financial contributions to the organization.

Following his address, Trump is expected to engage in discussions with British Prime Minister Andrew Burnham, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, and Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodríguez.
