SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam: ‘No data available on candidates affected by centre changes, tech failures’

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has disclosed that there is no specific data available on the number of candidates impacted by changes in examination centers, cancellations, and technical failures during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam 2025. Despite this, re-examinations were conducted for 76,153 candidates affected by the disruptions.

The exam was initially scheduled from July 24 to August 1, 2025, but faced numerous issues, including abrupt cancellations, server crashes, unresponsive systems, and remote examination centers located far from candidates' homes. Candidates also reported being allocated centers hundreds of kilometers away from their homes. In response to a Right to Information (RTI) application, the SSC noted that the Examination Control Section (EC-2) has a limited role in changing examination centers and, therefore, no data is available in this regard.

The Commission acknowledged the lack of specific data on affected candidates and re-examinations conducted for those candidates on August 2 and August 29, 2025. The commission also noted the absence of any complaints regarding alleged mistreatment of students at examination centers. The SSC refused to provide communications between the Commission and Delhi Police or other authorities regarding the student and teacher protest that took place near Jantar Mantar and the CGO Complex on July 31, 2025.
