Town Hall Extends Hours to Help Working Residents

The Torrevieja Council has extended its Municipal Registry's opening hours to assist working residents who struggle to complete administrative tasks during standard business hours. The registry will now provide appointments every Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm, with 50 slots available each week. Councillor María José Ruiz explained that the initiative aims to accommodate individuals facing work commitments, time restrictions, or health issues that prevent them from visiting the Town Hall during regular hours.

The Tuesday evening service can be booked online and will focus on two procedures: submitting applications and letters to council departments or external authorities, and issuing digital certificates for electronic identification and online administrative tasks. The council emphasized that staff will not handle applications or processes from other municipal departments during these extended hours.

The Cl@ve Permanente digital identification system registration will remain unavailable during these hours, as it is managed by the Valencian Government's PROP office with morning operations. Residents must reserve appointments through the Torrevieja Council Electronic Office. The new Tuesday evening hours will run exclusively for General Registry submissions and digital certificate applications, with a weekly allotment of 50 appointments.

Ruiz stated that the extended hours would eliminate time-related obstacles and enhance the accessibility of municipal services for those unable to visit the Town Hall in the morning.
