Mahama to cut sod for three 160-bed regional referral hospitals – Kwakye Ofosu

President John Dramani Mahama is set to officially break ground this year on the construction of three new 160-bed Regional Referral Hospitals in Ghana's Oti, Savannah, and Western North Regions, according to Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu. These projects are part of a broader government strategy aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery nationwide by expanding critical health facilities and increasing access to high-quality medical services across the country.

The Minister highlighted this announcement on a Facebook post dated September 22, alongside the architectural blueprint for the proposed facility in the Oti Region. Ofosu emphasized that the establishment of these hospitals will be a significant step in bolstering healthcare infrastructure and improving access to referral services for residents in the region.

The upcoming sod-cutting ceremonies for the three hospitals signify the start of projects that are anticipated to provide additional capacity for specialized and referral healthcare services, reinforcing President Mahama's commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure as part of the government's development priorities.
