Fuel Price: Atiku reacts as majority of Nigerians reject Tinubu’s fuel subsidy policy

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has responded to a recent survey revealing that 67.4% of Nigerians oppose President Bola Tinubu's fuel subsidy policy. In a statement released by his media assistant, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku stated that the survey's findings represented a "damning public verdict" on the Tinubu administration, which he claims removed fuel subsidies.

Atiku emphasized that the 67.4% figure is not just an economic statistic, but a reflection of a growing majority of Nigerians who have rejected Tinubu's policy. He highlighted the harsh impact of the policy, noting that transport costs have skyrocketed, food prices have skyrocketed, businesses have failed, and millions of families have been pushed further into poverty.

Atiku concluded by asserting that the survey confirms Nigerians' understanding that Tinubu's fuel policy has caused more harm than good, and therefore, the government responsible for it must also be rejected.
