CDF Munir says armed forces remain resolute in defeating terrorism, ensuring lasting peace: ISPR

Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir declared on Tuesday that the armed forces remain resolute in their efforts to combat terrorism and secure lasting peace, according to the military's media wing. While touring the Peshawar Corps Headquarters, Munir was greeted by the Peshawar Corps commander. At the visit, he received a briefing on the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, counter-terrorism operations, border management measures, and the operational readiness of the formations stationed in the province.

The CDF expressed his satisfaction with the "high morale, readiness, and professionalism" demonstrated by the security personnel, acknowledging their "steadfast commitment to safeguarding the country and its people." ISPR reported that Munir instructed troops to remain vigilant and uphold the "highest standards" of operational preparedness.

The military chief emphasized, "With the unwavering support of the nation, the armed forces remain resolute in their determination to defeat terrorism and ensure lasting peace and stability throughout the country." Upon his visit, Munir also placed a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and recited Fateha, honoring the martyrs and emphasizing that their "supreme sacrifices would never be forgotten."
