Why a 25-year-old woman left her air hostess dream to drive heavy trucks in Himachal Pradesh

Neha Thakur, a 25-year-old woman from Himachal Pradesh, left her aspiration to become an air hostess to pursue a career as a truck driver. Her father, who also worked as a truck driver, sparked her early interest in the profession. After completing her graduation, Thakur trained to become an air hostess in Chandigarh, but later returned to her hometown of Mandi and decided to become a truck driver instead.

Today, she is the first female truck vlogger in the region, sharing her experiences and adventures on social media. Thakur started driving a truck at 22 and uses her daily commute to create content, capturing the beauty of the mountains, rain, and fog along with the loading and unloading of goods. Despite facing skepticism about her career choice, Thakur remains determined to challenge perceptions of truck drivers and inspire others to follow their passions.
