Tinubu extends vacation abroad, announces return

President Bola Tinubu has extended his working vacation and is set to return to Nigeria over the weekend, according to a statement from the Presidency. Tinubu had been traveling in Europe, starting with London and then moving on to Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron and businessman Vincent Bolloré. Meanwhile, Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote has announced plans to list the group's fertiliser business on the stock market in 2028, in response to humorous "board meeting" memes from new Nigerian shareholders.

Human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi revealed that Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun agreed to support activist Sunday Igboho's return to Nigeria for his mother's burial, vouching for Igboho's behavior. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) informed candidates that they can now update their phone numbers and email addresses through a new process, after terminating a staff member for extorting candidates.

Additionally, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike emphasized that securing Tinubu's re-election in the 2027 presidential election remains his top political priority.
