Malaysia condemns repeated incursions at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia vehemently opposes the recurrent intrusions by the Zionist entity into the Al-Aqsa Mosque precinct, branding it an egregious provocation that infringes upon the sanctity of al-Haram al-Sharif. Dr Zulkifli Hasan, a minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), emphasized the need to safeguard Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first qibla and the third most sacred site for Muslims.

Historical evidence shows that such barbaric incursions have always galvanized the ummah. The Zionist regime must not be permitted to normalize these extremist actions, which threaten to escalate into a more intricate global conflict, he asserted in a recent statement. Dr Zulkifli appealed to the international community to promptly and decisively confront the Zionist regime, rather than solely offering verbal condemnations.

He further urged Muslims within Malaysia to persist in demonstrating unity and to perform the qunut nazilah prayer, so that Allah SWT may preserve the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and liberate Palestinian territory from the clutches of tyranny. This declaration emerged following an incident where approximately 100 Israeli settlers allegedly entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday, under stringent Israeli security surveillance, in the lead-up to Yom Kippur.
