La jueza moviliza 21 unidades policiales y militares en la investigación del salto

A judge has mobilized 21 police and military units in an investigation into the mass influx of migrants into Ceuta, according to the source fd507114-25c. The judge, María Tardón of the Audiencia Nacional, agreed on Wednesday the practice of a dozen tasks proposed by the prosecutor's office to explore potential criminal activity surrounding the event.

This unprecedented deployment includes 12 units and structures from the National Police and six from the Civil Guard, along with three intelligence agencies, such as the Central National Intelligence (CNI). The magistrates have tasked these entities with drafting reports on the irregular arrival of "between 75,000 and 85,000 people" to the autonomous city on July 30th and 31st. A private company is also expected to participate in the investigation.

The complexity of some of the assignments – wherein multiple units may need to work simultaneously – and uncertainty about whether the desired results can be achieved, have raised concerns about a prolonged investigation, according to police sources.
