Hannah Yeoh: Loke’s resignation offer was DAP CEC’s final decision, must be respected

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 21 — The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the DAP, led by its deputy secretary-general Hannah Yeoh, made the final decision on Transport Minister Anthony Loke's resignation offer. During the CEC meeting held last Saturday, various proposals and viewpoints were discussed before reaching a conclusion. Yeoh revealed that the final decision, made by the highest decision-making body, was for Loke to resign from his role as Transport Minister.

She emphasized the importance of respecting this decision, stating that the CEC is the party's highest decision-making entity. Yeoh declined to disclose other discussions during the meeting, as they were part of the CEC's deliberations. This response came following the CEC's decision regarding the party's stance on a conditional pardon for former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Loke proposed a resignation that would only involve him as a Cabinet member, while other DAP ministers and deputy ministers would continue to serve in the government to maintain political stability.
