Development works worth ₹53.25 crore inaugurated in Atmakur

The Development Commissioner, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, alongside the Ministers of MA&UD and Housing, inaugurated development projects amounting to ₹53.25 crore in Atmakur constituency on Monday. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had allocated over ₹29 crore for the enhancement of urban infrastructure in the Atmakur Municipality.

At the Atmakur Municipal Office, Reddy unveiled a pylon for a ₹45 crore project. The Chief Minister announced his virtual laying of foundation stones for these projects from Kuppam on Tuesday. The Ministers, along with public representatives, inaugurated a temple built at a cost of ₹75 lakh at a TIDCO housing complex in Atmakur, marking the first such initiative in the State.

They attended the Maha Kumbhabhishekam ceremony and performed special prayers. Reddy informed that 2,000 temples have already begun construction under the State's goal to build 5,000 temples with Srivani Trust funds, and more plans are in the works for 1,000 additional temples. Ma&UD Minister Narayana highlighted that temples will be erected at 163 TIDCO housing sites across the State, thanks to Reddy's special initiative.

The Ministers also laid the foundation stone for ₹1 crore pipeline works to address drinking water issues in TIDCO colonies, aiming to provide a permanent solution and ensure a steady supply of water. They also laid foundation stones for new electrical substations in Perumallapadu and Annareddipalem-Maktapuram areas at a cost of about ₹7 crore, to bolster the power supply system.

The mini-bypass road was upgraded from a single-lane to a four-lane road, with tenders for central divider and central lighting works recently completed and set to commence soon. Chief Minister's Relief Fund cheques worth ₹1.46 crore were distributed to 185 families, with the Government aiming to advance both development and welfare initiatives simultaneously.
