The three news outlets filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington, arguing that the administration's decision to limit their coverage violates their First Amendment rights.

Trump defended the restrictions in a social media post, stating that the media has "NO credibility" and that he won a "LANDSLIDE" in the election because of their crooked and corrupt coverage. CNN, Politico, and MS NOW requested the court to act swiftly and restore their access while the case proceeds, arguing that the government should not decide what the press reports.
