China ASEAN AI Forum draws 700 delegates in Nanning

Nanning, China – Over 700 government representatives, researchers, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists from both China and ASEAN nations convened in the city of Nanning from September 16th to 17th for the Fourth Forum on China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Cooperation. The forum, which took place concurrently with the official completion of the Pinglu Canal, aimed to foster collaborative technological innovation and deepen pragmatic cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence between China and ASEAN countries.

Held under the theme "AI for Industries, Digitalization for Shared Future," the forum explored three key areas: embodied intelligence, AI finance, and data circulation. Through a unique three-party collaborative hosting model featuring human hosts, digital human avatars, and intelligent robots, the event showcased the integration of technology and human ingenuity.

This innovative approach was highlighted by a performance incorporating Guangxi's traditional ethnic song alongside human dancers, dancing robots, acoustic accompaniment, and a digital crowd.

Prominent speakers at the forum included Dr. Padapxay SAYAKHOT, Director-General of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology for Lao PDR, and Yang Yanqing, Professor from ShanghaiTech University, who, alongside her digital avatar and AGIBOT Lingxi X2, led the official proceedings. The speakers emphasized the importance of leveraging technological advancements to bridge the digital divide between China and ASEAN nations, thereby solidifying the partnership between the two regions in the digital economy.
