LAHORE: On Sunday, the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 took place peacefully and effectively in Punjab, with no disruptive incidents reported at any of the 31 examination centres situated in 15 cities. The test, administered by the University of Health Sciences (UHS), began at 10:00am and ended at 1:00pm. According to attendance records, 49,203 candidates registered for the exam, but only 47,501 showed up, leaving 1,702 absent.

Vice Chancellors and Pro Vice Chancellors of public-sector medical universities acted as Regional Incharges, while principals of public-sector medical and dental colleges served as Centre Incharges.
Senior faculty members and officials from the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department also played a role in monitoring the proceedings. After the test, UHS provided candidates with carbon copies of their response forms, and the university will release the MDCAT 2026 answer key after 6:00pm on the same day.
