Young throws 3 TD passes, including 2 to Waller, as Panthers dominate short-handed Falcons 34-3

Atlanta's quarterback Bryce Young delivered a stellar performance in the Panthers' 34-3 victory over the short-handed Atlanta Falcons. Young completed 23 of 36 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Carolina's Darren Waller. Carolina's Devin Lloyd returned one of Young's interceptoins for a touchdown. The Panthers, who are currently 1-1, extended their winning streak in the NFC South rivalry to four games.

The Falcons (0-2) struggled to find offensive solutions following their opening loss at Pittsburgh. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush made his debut against the Panthers, but his performance was poor, with two interceptions and a lost fumble. The Falcons' second-string quarterback Jack Strand took over late in the third quarter, but his first possession ended badly with an interception by Panthers' linebacker Bobby Okereke.

The only points the Falcons scored were on Nick Folk's 41-yard field goal. Young had previously set a franchise record with 448 passing yards in a 30-27 overtime win, extending Carolina's lead in the NFC South.
