Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in Asian Games women’s cricket event semis

The organization of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan is facing intense criticism due to a series of operational blunders. One such incident occurred last Friday during a men's field hockey Pool A match between South Korea and Bangladesh at Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Kakamigahara. Before the match commenced, the South Korean national anthem was unintentionally played instead of the South Korean anthem.

The South Korean delegation promptly demanded an explanation and sent a formal protest letter to the organizing committee. President Ryu Seung-min of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) stated that using the national anthem, a symbol of the country, incorrectly at an international multi-sport event is a matter that they view with the utmost seriousness. The KSOC vowed to take all necessary steps to protect their athletes and ensure they can focus on the competition without distractions from external issues.

The KSOC disclosed on Saturday that two officials from the organizing committee had visited them. Despite these repeated errors, the KSOC remains committed to demanding an investigation into the cause of these incidents and preventing any further recurrence.
