Pune Murder Accused Siya Goyal Made Fake Instagram ID To Lure Husband To Fort

In the Ketan Agarwal murder case, Pune rural police have submitted a 5,053-page chargesheet in the Wadgaon Maval court, implicating the accused Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary, and Ritesh Hange in the crime. According to the chargesheet, the trio used a fake Instagram ID called "Mahi" and a picture of a girl to communicate with the victim, Ketan, who was 25 years old and the son of a businessman.

Siya, who did not want to marry Ketan, allegedly conspired with Chetan and Ritesh to kill him. The police claim that Siya and Chetan, along with Hange, had seized cellphones and electronic devices to retrieve deleted chats before the murder at Lohagad Fort, Pune. Forensic analysis revealed that Siya and Chetan had been using the fake ID "Mahi" and the picture of a girl to chat with Ketan, who believed "Mahi" was Siya's friend.

Police stated that Siya had previously attempted to kill Ketan twice at Lohagad Fort on May 31 and June 14, in an unsuccessful endeavor. On June 18, Siya and Chetan allegedly convinced Ketan to go to Lohagad Fort to give her a surprise on the day before her birthday. Ketan went along with their plan and was pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort, allegedly resulting in his death.

The accused had reportedly deleted their Instagram ID after the murder, but the technical probe was able to retrieve the chats, which are now considered crucial evidence against the accused. Siya and Chetan were arrested on June 23 and September 5, respectively, while Hange was arrested on September 5.
