Panvel Mayor Invites Civic Staff, Police & Tribal Residents To Perform Ganesh Aarti At Kharghar Residence

Panvel Mayor Nitin Patil has extended an invitation to various segments of society to participate in the Lord Ganesh aarti at his residence in Kharghar during the ongoing Ganeshotsav. On the inaugural day, police officers initiated the aarti, followed by senior civic officials such as the additional municipal commissioner, deputy commissioners, and department heads.

Civil servants responsible for the city's infrastructure and public health, like the city engineer, junior engineers, health inspectors, and sanitation workers, joined in the aarti as well. Additionally, representatives from the Maharashtra Security Force and Raigad Security Guard Force were invited to partake in the prayer.

On the fifth day of the festival, officials and employees from the civic medical and health department, alongside emergency services personnel from the fire brigade, performed the aarti. A special aarti was organized for the residents of the tribal hamlets of Chafewadi and Phanswadi, where both women and men, as well as children, actively took part in the ceremony at the mayor's residence.

The event included gifting sarees and blouse pieces to tribal women, while men and children received new clothing. Moreover, financial aid was extended to local cricket teams from Chafewadi and Phanswadi to procure sports equipment, including bats, stumps, and balls. Tribal women also showcased traditional dances at the gathering.

The event's organizers aimed to foster social equality, fraternity, and interaction among civic officials, police personnel, sanitation workers, security personnel, and tribal community members during the festival. Notable figures present during the celebrations included former MP Ramsheth Thakur and senior leader Y T Deshmukh.
