Nurse Tonia, a renowned gospel artiste and member of the PMAN, has emerged from years of silence to grace the music industry once again. The release of her latest single, 'Jesus Na Otokinado,' marks her triumphant return after years spent pursuing a career in nursing and settling in the United States. Speaking about her decision to re-enter the music scene, Nurse Tonia revealed that it was a long-held dream she was finally able to fulfill.

Born into a musical family, she moved to Lagos with her sibling, Ras Murphy Van Anthony, following their father's death in Benin, Edo State. They spent over a year without a fixed home, finding solace in performing at local shows and bars. Their experiences laid the foundation for their careers, but financial constraints held them back during their early years.

Despite not pursuing her music career earlier, Tonia expresses gratitude for the opportunity to share her gift with the world again. Her inspiration comes from a divine source, with melodies often striking her while working and leading to fully formed songs.
