NDC disowns OK Movement’s presidential campaign council list

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has distanced itself from the 59-member Presidential Campaign Council recently unveiled by the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, also known as the OK Movement, in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The NDC emphasized that no individual, candidate, or support group has the authority to create or announce any campaign council or structure in its name without prior approval from its National Working Committee.

The NDC's National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, released a statement on Saturday night regarding the announcement made by the movement's Director-General, John Ughulu. He stated that the party unequivocally dissociated itself from the announcement, which was not in line with the party's directives. The NDC also warned against any member, candidate, or support group undermining the party's authority and cautioned against creating parallel structures that could damage the party's reputation.
