Furthermore, the All Pakistan Goods Transport Owners Association has sought a compensation of roughly Rs.

280 million. The freight sector has also expressed worries about cargo security and the financial implications of idle commercial vehicles. It's not just about the containers; each one represents a truck, driver, transporter, cargo, and a supply chain meant to remain active. The situation is particularly unusual given the political nature of the protests.

Security measures may be necessary for such gatherings, but the irony remains that securing roads comes at a cost for businesses whose vehicles are being deployed. Islamabad continues to remain landlocked, yet its streets certainly provide a convincing appearance of a highly active port.
