Imansuaghon Mourns Orbih, Recalls His Kindness During Trying Times

Former Edo State governorship aspirant Kenneth Imansuaghon has paid tribute to the late Chief Dan Osi Orbih, describing him as a courageous, compassionate and loyal politician whose passing has left a significant void in Edo State's political sphere. The 64-year-old, known as the 'riceman', expressed his profound shock and sorrow upon learning of Orbih's demise.

Imansuaghon, who shared a personal connection with Orbih, recalled the late PDP national leader's kindness, particularly during a challenging period when Imansuaghon was hospitalized in London following an accident. Orbih's support during that time left an indelible mark on Imansuaghon, who credited him along with other late figures like Chief Tony Anenih and Senator Clifford Ordia for standing by him.

During the tenure of former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Imansuaghon and Orbih jointly led the opposition, with Orbih's residence serving as a hub for party loyalists and democracy advocates. The educationist also praised Orbih's tenacity in defending democracy, even during intense political struggles. Imansuaghon fondly remembered Orbih's vibrant personality and his unique ability to entertain and inspire supporters during campaigns.

He emphasized Orbih's unwavering commitment to the PDP and the people of Edo State, recalling how they toured the 192 electoral wards together during elections. Orbih's integrity was further highlighted by his refusal to drop Imansuaghon's name from the list of delegates in the 2022 national delegate contest, despite intense pressure to remove it.

Imansuaghon extended condolences to Orbih's family, promising to honor his memory through prayers and expressing deep sorrow for the loss they have suffered.
