PS Omollo defends Ruto’s non-discriminatory approach to development

Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration Raymond Omollo has defended the Kenyan government's approach to national development, emphasizing that public resources and services must be distributed without discrimination based on region, community or political allegiance. During a church development fund drive in Narok East, Omollo praised President William Ruto's leadership, describing it as "non-discriminatory and inclusive."

He highlighted that this is the first time in Kenya's history that a leader has prioritized equitable transformation across the nation. Omollo stated that the government's development agenda aims to ensure that all communities benefit from public investments and services, irrespective of their location or political leanings. He criticized those who disparage President Ruto, urging Kenyans to focus on the tangible development record and demand clear commitments from candidates seeking their votes.

Omollo emphasized that the President has raised the bar for leadership and that any aspirants for votes should provide concrete plans for roads, education, and healthcare, rather than relying on empty promises. He expressed confidence in President Ruto's re-election prospects, attributing it to his proven track record and development agenda.

Omollo stressed that equitable development must be accompanied by equitable access to government services, and the administration is working to strengthen its administrative structures to bring services closer to citizens. This year, the government began paying village elders a monthly stipend as part of efforts to recognize their contributions to grassroots administration.

The government has also taken steps to address longstanding issues in areas like the Mau Complex, and it remains committed to equitable resource allocation and inclusive public service delivery as part of its broader transformation agenda.
