Delicious or Disaster unveils N10m prize for third season

Delicious or Disaster, the popular cooking competition show, has announced the details of its third season. The show, hosted by Chef T, will feature 40 contestants competing in 10 episodes. Each episode will have four contestants, with one winner emerging from each. Unlike previous seasons where the grand prize was awarded at the end of the season, the winner of each episode will take home N1m.

The third season, set to premiere on September 25, marks a significant expansion of the show, featuring a larger production, new contestants, and a bigger prize pool. Chef T, the host and executive producer, revealed that the show will include contestants from various demographics such as mothers, fathers, young adults, chefs, and food enthusiasts.

The organizers received over 500 entries for the new season, narrowing it down to 40 contestants. The show, which began as a passion project, will continue to highlight Nigerian food culture and local ingredients, aiming to educate viewers outside the country about Nigerian dishes. Ruth Olusanya, the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, expressed her support for the growth of locally produced cooking programmes, stating that they could contribute to the development of Nigeria's culinary industry.
