Actor-wrestler Saurav Gurjar remanded by Gachibowli police in sexual exploitation case

Actor and professional wrestler Saurav Gurjar was held in custody by the Gachibowli police in connection with a sexual exploitation accusation. He was apprehended at Mumbai airport on September 17 after returning from the Middle East. An Interception Order (LOC) was issued against him in relation to the case. Gurjar was brought to Hyderabad by a Gachibowli police team and presented before a magistrate, who granted him remand on Sunday.

The complaint was filed on August 15 under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which relates to sexual intercourse through deceit. The woman, who met Gurjar on Instagram in 2021 and thereafter via WhatsApp, alleged that he promised marriage and assured her equal marital rights. She claimed he persuaded her to give up her US job for a business venture with him.

The woman said Gurjar became abusive, distancing himself and blocking her phone number when she spoke about marriage. She stayed with him from October 2025 to March 2026 and then continued living with him in Hyderabad before allegedly departing without notice.
