SKMM kenal pasti individu, akaun media sosial berkait video tular hina Rukun Negara

The Communications and Multimedia Authority (SKMM) has identified several individuals and social media accounts to aid the investigation into a video clip that allegedly defames the monarchy, Malaysia, and the Rukun Negara. The investigation began with a recording from a post dated 2018 that was re-shared on social media. SKMM is collaborating with the Police Counter-Narcotics Department, including in relation to digital evidence, according to a statement.

The authority advises the public against speculating or spreading unverified information about individuals linked to the video to avoid interfering with the investigation. A previous viral video showed actors pointing back towards China, India, and Indonesia, with the phrase "This Malaysia" repeated throughout. The group of actors then recited the Rukun Negara, but each line was followed by mocking responses from different characters.

One actor wore only a red undershirt, with his body painted in red and white. Deputy Prime Minister Aaron Dagang Ago was reported to have urged the police and SKMM to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the video, which is considered disrespectful, excessive, and unacceptable to the monarchy, Malaysia, and the Rukun Negara.
