Inter great Mazzola, European Cup and Italy winner, dies at 83

Italian football mourns the death of former international and Inter Milan legend Sandro Mazzola at the age of 83, as reported by the German Press Agency (dpa). Mazzola dedicated his entire 17-year professional career to Inter, leaving an indelible mark on the club’s history. The legendary attacking midfielder was celebrated by the club for his exceptional talent, stating, "Sandro Mazzola was one of the greatest footballers in history."

Throughout his time at Inter, Mazzola achieved remarkable success, netting 158 goals in 565 competitive appearances across all competitions. His prowess on the field was evident as he led Inter to four Italian league titles and two European Cups.
