DUSU Election Results 2026 Today: Counting Of Votes To Begin At 8AM

DUSU 2026 election results are being reported live, with the vote count for four crucial posts taking place at the University Sports Stadium in North Campus. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and National Students Union of India (NSUI) are locked in a fierce contest. The counting process began on Friday, after a 40.46% voter turnout.

The ABVP fielded candidates Yash Dabas, Ishu Maurya, Riya Chhawadi, and Lakshya Raj Singh for the president, vice-president, secretary, and joint secretary positions respectively. The NSUI nominated Vijay Shankar Meena, Vir Chatrath, Namrata Chaudhary, and Gopal Choudhary. The AISA-SFI alliance put forth Ananya Raturi, Akshat Shikhar, Stanzin Deskyong, and B Parijaat.

Both the ABVP and NSUI expressed confidence in their victories. The counting process started early in the morning and saw a surge in activity after 11am. Security measures included 960 EVMs deployed across 48 colleges and 12 university departments. Voters, including freshers, participated enthusiastically, hoping for transformative change in student politics.

However, campaign-related issues, such as littering and physical altercations, persisted. The results are expected to be announced tomorrow.
